We love a good racing game as much as the next guy but the Grid 2 Special Edition Video Game is a game that is on another level altogether. How does it stand out from the rest? Apart from it being an awesome racing game, it is accompanied by a BAC Mono supercar!
Setting a Guinness World Record for the “Most Expensive Video Game Commercially Available Special Edition”, is a good inkling that the game may very well cost you an arm and a leg. A pre-order of the game fetches at a whopping price tag of £125 000. A tad excessive, you may say but hardcore gamers may argue that it’s worth every cent.
Grid 2 is available on PS3 and Sony can lay claim to something that no other competitor can. The player can drive the actual car that features in the video game, in real life. Most of the vehicle is made from carbon fiber and you also get to go to the BAC factory, to customise your speed demon.
The BAC Mono supercar can go from 0-60mph in a lightening-quick 2.8 seconds and it’s powered by a 2.3L 4-cylinder engine. Amazingly, it’s perfectly road-legal. The owner will also receive racing gear. This is definitely taking a gaming experience to a whole new level.
