The 2012 Beijing Motor Show saw Lamborghini present a showstopper in the SUV segment. Still only a concept car, the Lamborghini Urus combines distinctive design, a captivating interior and impressive performance with everyday usability.
The output of around 440kW/600hp, from a 5.2-litre V10, combined with a lightweight design guarantee breathtaking performance. At the same time, the Urus will offer the lowest CO2 figure of all comparable vehicles. The interior this incredible SUV showcases innovative materials, featuring carbon fibre technology, like the patented Forged Composite.
The Urus features small, aerodynamically designed cameras instead of side mirrors, which display on two screens inside the cockpit – this is accompanied by numerous other displays used in the cockpit for navigation, entertainment and climate control.
Lamborghini is showing a strong interest in putting this SUV into production, targeting the US, UK, Germany, Russia, the Middle East and China, with an estimated 3000 units said to be possible production numbers. Let’s wait and see…
