Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium and Street Circuit will soon be transformed into a Top Gear fan’s nirvana. Highlights will include world famous presenters; guest drivers including two-time Formula One World Champion Mika Häkkinen – who will be interviewed live on stage in the Ultimate Village situated near the Kings Park Pool – as well as a number of legends and celebrities all doing what they do best.
Top Gear Festival Content Manager, Ken Watson said: “In true Top Gear style, one should expect the unexpected. Without giving too much away it’s almost guaranteed that flames and explosives will feature in some way or another. The 2013 edition of the festival will in no way be like that seen last year as the plan this time is to explore means to entertain the thousands of expected crowds in bigger and better ways.”
The Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and of course The Stig are coming back with a bang! Bigger and better than before, the all-new Live Stadium Show will not disappoint in delivering world class acts and charismatic antics that the Top Gear Festival is known for.
This year’s Top Gear Festival Street Circuit brings more excitement, not only with a new layout – which provides for greater overtaking possibilities and improved viewing opportunities – but also with the return of exciting features such as Franschhoek Motor Museum 90th Le Mans tribute, all the antics of The Top Gear Street Circuit Show, South African Motorsport Racing, Car parades and more!
A host of celebrity drivers, headed this year by Two-Time Formula One World Champion, Mika Häkkinen, will tear around the Top Gear Festival Street Circuit and is certain to exhilarate the senses with tyre screeching, sideways action and plenty of speed.
