The Cape Town Festival of Beer is a gathering for beer enthusiasts, connoisseurs and those just wanting to learn more about beer.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Table Mountain and the new Cape Town Stadium at Hamilton’s Rugby Club on Green Point Common, it’s just a short walking distance from the V&A Waterfront. It takes place from 25-27 November 2011 and it’s all about SA’s collective passion for beer. You can watch world-class bands and entertainment whilst seated Oktoberfest-style at beer hall tables served by ‘geesfull’ frauleins.
Brewers from every corner of the globe and from all over South Africa will be taking part. Some of this year’s confirmed breweries include; Camelthorn, Darling, Bavaria, Corona, Carling Black Label, Napier, Jack Black, Paulaner, Mitchells, Castle, Fosters, Erdinger, Liefmans, Oettinger, Cobra, Tiger, Singha, Duvel, Maredsous, Valentines and many more.
The festival will include; beer tastings, beer sales, lucky draws, brewing demos and competition, kiddies entertainment area, food stalls, braaing competition, Springbok test screening , top live entertainment and much more.
Gates open at 12:00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Ticket Prices:
Public tickets: single day pass for R60, two day pass for R100 and three day pass for R120.
Kings Table: entrance and table for 10, plus an individual draught tap per table, 30l keg, branded mug and personal fraulein service. This will cost R2 500.
Corporate Package: entrance over all three days, 10 beer vouchers, tastings, designated table with allocated seating, voucher for a meal, event shirt and beer mug. This will cost R500 per person.
VIP tickets: access for all three days, branded mug and cap, six SAB and four exhibition beer vouchers, and a voucher for a meal. This will cost R500 per person.
