The new 2012 Volvo S60 T6 R-Design is a high performance vehicle from a company which is more known for the safety of its vehicles.
Volvo worked with Polestar, the Swedish racing company, to give the S60 a turbocharged 3.0-liter, 325 horsepower (@ 5400 rpm) DOHC I-6 engine which boasts a torque of 354 lb-ft at 3000-3600 rpm. This means that the new S60 is one of the most powerful production Volvo’s ever built.
Chassis strength and suspension are enhanced through the inclusion of a front strut-tower brace and monotube dampers. In addition, springs and bushings have been stiffened to reduce tyre bounce.
The S60 T6 R-Design can be purchased with Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake which assists drivers to avoid mowing down pedestrians who are on the road.
