Unmistakably Ducati, the 1199 Panigale is setting a new benchmark in Superbike design and performance. Conceptualised and designed in Italy’s Motor Valley in Bologna, the 1199 Panigale is every bit as powerful and super as fans have been hoping it would be.

Some of the awesome features on this model include the sweeping fairings, distinctive streamlined tail, triple 3-spoke, forged and machined wheels by Marchesini and Thin Film Transistor (TFT) instrument display. The TFT automatically changes its layout according to the Riding Mode selected in order to provide optimum clarity in every riding condition.

The 1199 Panigale features various Rider Modes like Race, Sport and Wet, all managed by Ducati’s Ride-by-Wire (RdW) system which cleverly adjusts the suspension, throttle power and breaking system to adapt to any road condition.

Ducati’s unique Monocoque technology was the starting point for the 1199’s goal of producing more power with less weight. The end result skimmed 10kg off the bike thereby setting a new record total weight bar of 164kg. The weight distribution of the 1199 Panigale without the rider is 52% at the front and 48% at the rear which becomes a perfect 50/50 with the rider on, ensuring maximum stability and agility of the bike.

At the heart of the Ducati 1199 Panigale is the Superquadro, the most powerful twin-cylinder production engine currently in production. It produces 195hp at 10 750rpm and torque of 13.5kgm at 9 000rpm. The positioning and block design of the engine gives the 1199 Panigale maximum stability and even weight distribution. All of this power is managed by a new six-gear transmission to ensure smooth handling and easy clutch management.
