The result of years of planning and design is now visible with the launch of The Porsche Design Group and Royal Falcon Fleet’s mega-boat, the RFF135 catamaran. This baby is not only enormous; it is sleek, slick and super fast.
The RFF135 is a power catamaran with a length of more than 40 metres. The outer hull and the interior are typical of the highest caliber thanks to the Porsche Design Studio at Zell am See Austria. The overall appearance of the power catamaran was first conceived as a “spacecraft on water” and the result did not fail that concept at all. It is majestic in appearance, lavish in its design and a powerful force to be reckoned with once it hits the open waters.
The interior as designed by Porsche, sports only the best in ergonomically designed living spaces that are functional as well as lavish. The mega-yacht builders Royal Falcon Fleet called in the experts at marine giants Kockums (Sweden) and Incat Crowther (Austria) to oversee the building of the engine and fine tune the mechanical gears that drive the RFF135.
The RFF135 is 41.2m in length, 12.5m in breadth and carries a MTU 16V 4 000 M93L engine, which, in layman’s terms means: it is very powerful and super fast with 4 600hp output and a speed of 35 knots. Its range is 2 000 nautical miles at 30 knots, and the interior deck area measures in at 472 square metres. It guzzles an astounding 750l of fuel per hour and has two 25 000l tanks. The RFF135 is made of highj-strength aluminium and can accommodate 10 guests and a further crew of 10.
