Remember when the Audi TT first came into existence; it was a breath of fresh air in the sports coupe department especially because it was well below a million and turned just as many heads as the more exotic sports cars. Now it just seems a little outdated, even with the newer design that was released quite a few years ago.
What it needed was a little bit of aggression and that is what the TTS is going to provide. Audi has not been shy with both the Coupe and the Roadster giving them 200 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque. This, coupled with optional six-speed S tronic gearbox, will get you a car that is able to get to 100 km/h from standstill in about 5.2 seconds. It will continue with this decent acceleration all the way through to 250 km/h when the electronic governing kicks in and says “easy tiger”.
There is also a smaller variant to the 3.2 litre V6 which puts out an awesome 200 kW – the 2.0 litre TFSI; but we don’t really talk about Golf GTIs here. We’ll take one in orange, thanks.
