We are carrying on with the same theme with the most exclusive suites and hotel accommodation, however this time we’ve swapped the slick city living for another kind of lifestyle, best described as ‘Vegas’.
Very few people in the world have qualified to have significant locations, streets and venues named after them, for instance, Nelson Mandela and Mother Theresa, but The Palms Fantasy Tower has called in the status of Hugh Hefner to match their signature suite, The Hugh Hefner Sky Villa.
This revolution in accommodation fully accentuates the lavish, promiscuous and downright envious lifestyle that Hefner has created over his decades of excess. Anyone fortunate enough to part with the $40, 000 price-tag will recognise some features as Playboy influences are noticed; that’s right, this setting has been modelled on the original Playboy Mansion. It cost R70 million to create this platform to which nothing has comparison.
This double storey suite overlooks the always pulsating Vegas Strip and boasts 9, 000 square feet, one of the reasons it sees Mr Hefner visiting frequently – the rest of the time it is occupied with high-rollers and celebrities to continue on the party.
Upon entry into the suite, which is done via a private glass elevator, you are greeted by an aura of sexiness with its chocolaty smooth colours, wrap-around sofas, champagne buckets taking up the backdrop, and Playboy art filling the empty spaces. Plasma TVs pop up as if by magic all around the suite, there’s a Playboy glass-walled Jacuzzi/ pool (big enough for a few “Bunnies”), a fully-equipped gym, media room and a full bar. The best part is that Vegas can be admired from a famous wet bar where the Playboy insignia covers the pool bottom, and if you haven’t already thought it, it most definitely is the “ultimate bachelor pad”.
Space for a number in the mid 200’s are able to tear the night up in the Sky Villa, but beware, you may have to share a room as only there are only three. Do we mind? A resounding ‘’NO’’ is the answer! Three rooms sounds a little short for the price-tag, but perhaps the ridiculous fireplace, Vegas poker table, spa rooms (where anything can happen), and let’s not forget the 8-foot circular rotating bed (with hanging overhead mirror) put all the pieces together.
Think of everything you could want in a lavish hotel suite, now double that and then inject that idea with steroids, and maybe, just maybe, you get an idea of what this suite is all about.
The Palms Fantasy Tower is a one-of-a-kind establishment, and the Hugh Hefner Sky Villa is an only-of-its-kind venue – so much so that it is said to have helped revitalise Vegas, as if it was ever dwindling. A “Vegas, baby!” yell from Hefner’s holiday home has never been more worth it! $40K… please… that’s playground money.
