San Francisco, USA
San Francisco is the quintessential backpacking destination that is going to permanently etch some super cool memories into your skull. Even though the hippy boom is long over, the city have many areas that exhibit bohemian splendor A hotbed of tourists from various backgrounds, San Francisco has been known for being an awesome back packing destination. Laden with some great sight-seeing areas, San Francisco is an adventure waiting to happen. If its food and culture does not grab you, there are enough hot spots to check out for a rollicking time. Green friendly folk should be sure to head out to Haight Street. Consider it a hipster haven with its abundance of eco-friendly cafes, thrift shops and so much more. Make the trip to San Francisco and let the good times roll.
Goa, India
This travel piece would feel incomplete if Goa was not given a mention as it is considered a backpacking paradise. Amazing beaches, aromatic flavour, cultural richness adds to Goa’s unprecedented charm. If you are a lover of the ocean, go and check out its plentiful beaches with beauty unparalleled. Connect with nature and make your way through to its eastern region and take in the marvellous flora and fauna. If you want to check out some exotic reptiles and amphibians, June would be the best time to make the trip but take heed of the downpours. There are a few budget hotels worth checking out, so do your homework before you leave. Goa also enjoys a robust nightlife so if you looking for a mad party, don’t look too far. The staple diet is curry and rice and if your stomach can withstand the aggression you good to go but thankfully there are always milder alternatives. Backpack through Goa and enjoy some exhilarating experiences.
Havana, Cuba
Cuba’s rich political heritage and cultural depth perpetually adds on to the rich charm that it emits. The architecture there, is nothing short of spectacular. Colonial structures with bold geometry and rich colour are certainly something to behold. It’s a common occurrence to see a vintage ride zip down the road. Beaches are gorgeous with inviting waters. If water-sports are your thing, you are in the right place. Walk the streets at leisure without the burden of worrying about your safety. Cigars are cheap and make great gifts. The music is eclectic and the clubs are lively but take heed, some of the girls are of the working variety so it is hard to differentiate off the cuff. Use a local bus to get around, even hitchhiking is an option. The rum flows like water and tourist attractions are plentiful.
