There’s a TomTom iPhone application that gives your iPhone the functionality of a TomTom GPS device. The first version is already popular, and it is a great application for the iPhone, but all Apple really needed to do was to make it work with multi-tasking. Now this will be possible and this means that users of the App can now get turn-by-turn guidance at the same time as operating other applications.
The current version of the TomTom App for iPhone (version 1.3.1) is available for purchase via the App Store, and both current and new owners of the application will be able to update to the new version immediately upon its availability, for no additional charge.
If you don’t have the App yet you can purchase it from the App Store for around R460 and it should be available at the end of June or by early July, at the latest.
Continental and regional versions of the TomTom for iPhone App for iPhone Edge, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch users, are available at http://www.tomtom.com/tomtom-app.
