Apple is pure innovation and constantly releasing updated products (with the occasional new one like the iPad). True to Apple’s form, the entire iPod family has been upgraded; this includes the iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle.
The iPod Touch really catches our eye, not only with its iPhone like appearance, but also its feature list. It has FaceTime which allows you to make video calls to iPhone 4 or iPod Touch users around the world via wireless. It also captures HD video and has a built-in video editor that is displayed on a screen that has more than 326 pixels in an inch (it’s known as Retina display).
The iPod Nano has gone through many changes, which makes you think that Apple cannot actually make up their mind and like switching from the square-form factor to tall and thin, and then even adding a camera to it. Not only has the design gone back to small and square, it has also received a multi-touch screen which makes so much sense when you’re trying to use two fingers on a screen whilst holding it with the same hand. The coolest feature must be the fact that it can potentially play music for 24 hours. That’s epic.
The iPod Shuffle is simple yet effective. Like the Nano is has a range of colours to choose from, except it is just missing the touch screen. I much prefer seeing what is playing but there is no doubt that the Shuffle will do exactly what you want; if you do want to know what is playing, just press the VoiceOver button and the Shuffle will tell you, literally speak to you and maybe throw in a compliment as well.
