The iPhone 4 was officially launched the other day, which could have been one of the most anticipated technology product releases of the year. For Apple and iPhone fans, the wait has been long and torturous with the rest of the world having their turn much sooner than South Africa. Finally, the wait is over and you can head on to any iStore to get your hands on one.
Both MTN and Vodacom have offers this time, I’m not sure if the competition tribunal had anything to do with this but it’s a breath of fresh air having the ability to choose a package you want. The cellular providers have vastly different packages to one another; Vodacom have gone in with the big talker approach, giving you the phone and 500 minutes free talk time for R925.00 a month and MTN have gone the cheaper route giving you R200 airtime and the phone starting from R379.00 a month.
Apparently most stores were sold out on the same day as the launch, but I am pretty sure more will come.
