The Inkling digital pens help you transfer your paper sketches made using the pen to a computer. As you sketch on paper using the Inkling, a digital version is stored using a receiver small enough to clip to the edge of a sheet of paper.
When you’ve finished, connect this to a PC or Mac via USB and open the files either using Inkling Sketch Manager, software or Photoshop. It basically works like this: whenever you are drawing your strokes are digitally recorded and imported as vector artwork to your application. There is no need to scan and redraw your sketches. You don’t need to learn something new, just switch on your Inkling, attach the receiver to the paper and start sketching – in a sketchbook, on napkins, loose sheets of paper, you name it.
There is no need to use special paper, you need to attach an Inkling receiver to one edge and it will track the Inkling pen on any paper up to A4 size. Both the pen and receiver are equipped with long-lasting, rechargeable batteries that can be recharged via USB while sitting in the storage case. This allows you to work with Inkling independently of any computer and makes it a really mobile companion.
