Austrian-based Pro-Ject Audio has released their latest offering of audio innovation with the Debut III Turntable. Its ease of use, high-quality design and production and reasonable pricing makes this turntable a must-have for when you absolutely have to spin a few vinyls.

The manual turntable features a quiet running AC motor with two-step pulley (for 33 and 45 rpm), which drives the hub and platter via a flat-ground belt. The motor is decoupled from the plinth to reduce vibration transmission, while the plinth stands on four feet which act as shock absorbers. In addition, an external power supply avoids potential electro-mechanical interference.
The Debut’s single piece aluminium tone arm uses inverted hardened stainless-steel points for excellent tracking with the supplied Ortofon phono cartridge. The Debut III is easy to set up and since the turntable ships with its factory installed and aligned tone arm and cartridge, there’s little more to do than set the tracking and anti-skating and unlock the motor transport screw.
Expect to pay around $369 for the Debut III – a small price to pay for superior sound quality – excellent craftsmanship and the sheer coolness of spinning your own tunes.
