Yesterday the guys who brought you Blackberry, Research in Motion (RIM), announced that their iPad rival, the Playbook will go on sale next month. If you’re residing in the states, expect to get it first on the 19th of April but if that’s not soon enough, you can start placing your orders today!

The Playbook will be available in 3 different models – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. With prices ranging from $499.00 to $699.00 – there’s little differentiation in price to the iPad. Other Playbook features will include, Wi-Fi connectivity, Blackberry smartphone integration, a 17.8cm touchscreen and Adobe Flash video software all in a 425g package.
