Wakeboard enthusiasts often catch major air while zipping across waves and riding the wind. Now the ability to catch even more air is available with the Flyboard, a water powered jet suit and engine. The Flyboard combines skiing, snowboarding and acrobatic diving underwater and while zipping along the waves.
This impressive aquatic machine, powered by the motor of your jet ski, ejects the water jet through a long hose that keeps you above water. The Flyboard designed by inventor Franky Zapata, lets you stay up to 9 meters (30 feet) in the air.
The Flyboard is available in two versions. The first version is ideal for two people: the first person is on the PWC and the second uses the Flyboard. This version allows a fast learning and great freedom of movement which depends on the feet tilt. The second version is for a single use and allows a better flight precision. The Flyboard is easy to master and only takes between two and 20 minutes to learn with an instructor and 20 minutes to an hour without.
The Flyboard will be available from mid-2012 and expect to shell out roughly US$6 500.
