Korea Republic vs. Greece
This is the Korean Republic’s seventh World Cup in a row and they are the best that Asia has to offer, being the most successful Asian team. They will have to do very well to get out of this group.
The Greeks seem to always surprise everyone. The team that won Euro 2004 did not qualify for the Germany 2006 Finals and then bowed out of the group stages of Euro 2008. You never know what to expect. Hopefully they won’t disappoint in this tournament.
Argentina vs. Nigeria
Argentina had a gruelling qualifying stage and were pushed hard to make this World Cup. With that behind them, and having, arguably, the best player in the world surrounded by some great young talent, Argentina are really looking to win these finals.
Nigeria may have been the African Super Eagles 10 years ago, but they are not going into this tournament with great expectations. Maybe Kano can make his last tournament one to remember.
England vs. USA
England has not won a World Cup since 1966. They have, no doubt, been marked as one of the favourites on many occasions and this tournament is no different. England has, possibly, the largest number of talented players of all the teams in this World Cup.
USA are definitely brewing a storm in the football community and it was confirmed last year when they almost beat Brazil in the Confederations Cup, here in South Africa. This is a team to watch out for.
