South African runners have been training, preparing and eagerly awaiting the Joburg runner’s event of the year. Nike Run Jozi 2012 is shaping up to be a great event, and organisers are expecting at least 10 000 runners.
The 10km race through the streets of Joburg will go down in history – the expected 10 000 runners will make it the most epic race South Africa’s seen to date. And in true South African spirit, Run Jozi takes place on 21 March, Human Rights Day bringing together runners from all walks of life in the city of gold. The race starts at 7pm on the Nelson Mandela Bridge and will take runners through the heart of Joburg.
Head sponsor, Nike, has been online and on-hand to help runners prepare and train for the epic race. Nike Run Jozi has been posting route maps, runner and spectator information and hassle-free registration links to streamline the day’s events.
