The Bulls lost over the weekend to the Pumas, who are not title contenders at all so no doubt there were a few angry players after the game. When news broke out that a Blue Bulls player, ‘Bees’ Roux, had been arrested for attempted murder we quickly realised that this could be a reason why the mighty team fell.
The news came as quite a shock and obviously a lot of presumptions were made especially because the victim was a Metro Police officer. Statements were finally released on Monday and it seems as if there are suspicious circumstances behind the whole debacle.
It has been reported that ‘Bees’ was pulled over for allegedly drinking and driving although no breathalyser or blood test were performed and it is still unclear why Ntshimane Mogale, the victim, had left his fellow officers and was accompanying ‘Bees’ away from the closest police stations.
Sounds like we are in for another exciting time in South Africa, especially if we unearth a scandal as to why the officer was in the car in the first place!
