Since 1987, Joseph Kony has abducted over 30 000 children in Central Africa, forcing them to become child soldiers in the LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army). The KONY 2012 campaign uses various forms of media (with an emphasis on Social Media: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr) to spread this unbelievable story.

Instead of this being a once off campaign, this also stands as a change that everyone can make in the world, showing how collectively we can stop tyrants like Joseph Kony. This is the start of a worldwide movement, starting with the man at the top on the international Criminal Court’s indicted list.

One of the most profound videos you will most like ever see, and hopefully share, you should take the time to watch this. Note that this video is around 30 minutes, but it’s certainly worth the time…
On the April 20 (for one night only), people in their masses worldwide will come together to make the name Joseph Kony famous; not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest. To find out more, make sure you’ve watched the video, clicked the links in this article, and if you’d like join the South African KONY2012 Facebook page.
FLUX Mag and our crew urge you to take the time to go to their website, watch their video, spread the news, share the story and ultimately help bring Kony to justice in 2012.
