It is safe to say that almost everybody has wondered what it would be like to venture into space at some time or another, well that thought could become a reality, courtesy of Axe Deodorant.
They are holding a competition (online entry here) that will be open to men and women in more than 60 countries. Entrants will motivate why they deserve to fly to space and the submissions will be voted for. Three South Africans will be selected to attend Global Space Camp which will be held in Orlando, Florida. Contestants will then engage in various training missions. A panel of space experts will then select 22 contestants to venture into space (one from South Africa).
Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon commented, “Space travel for everyone is the next frontier in the human experience. I’m thrilled that Axe is giving the young people of today such an extraordinary opportunity to experience some of what I’ve encountered in space.” For full details about the completion, visit the Axe Apollo Space Academy website.
