The wait is over for fans of the popular Air Jordan shoe range. This year sees the 27th edition of the franchise and by the looks of it, Nike has upped the ante to aim for new sporting heights. The Air Jordan 2012 is based on the 2011 model’s modular midsole system and features two inner sleeves and three midsoles that can be interchanged to optimise the shoe’s performance according to the individual’s needs. The range includes the Deluxe and Flight System versions.
Nike’s new twist on an old favourite include a unique feature which allows the shoe to be customised in six different configurations, by combining the two inner sleeves with the three midsoles. The three midsoles are called Green “Fly Around” (Quick) – featuring a Nike Zoom unit in the heel, Blue “Fly Over” (Air) – featuring a Nike Zoom unit in the forefoot, and an encapsulated Air Sole unit in the heel and Orange “Fly Through” (Explosive) – with a full length encapsulated Air Sole unit.
