If you associate ‘White Collar’ with the daily grind of a nine-to-five desk job, get ready for World Boxing Entertainment to re-define the term.

White Collar Boxing arose in the mid- 1990s in New York. Urban professionals, despite not being pro athletes, trained at select gymnasiums to compete in special boxing events. It quickly became a popular way for men and women to enjoy the challenge and discipline of the sport, and the events allowed boxers to fight for pleasure. The sport is authentic and safe. Bouts are three 2-minute rounds, and 16oz gloves, headgear, groin protectors, and mouth guards are essential requirements inside the ring.
In South Africa, White Collar Boxing is rapidly gaining prominence as proven by previous events. Pioneered by World Boxing Entertainment (WBE), in association with Top Box Gymnasium, the Johannesburg events are giving Jozi boxing enthusiasts, a taste of this thrilling sport.
On August 30, the WBE will presents its fifth White Collar Boxing event. With 11 white collar fights and four amateur fights happening on the night, the evening promises to be an adrenalin-packed showcase of boxing talent. With the addition of gorgeous ring girls and some great prizes, this is an event not to be missed.
