This year, Up the Creek will take place from 3 to 5 February when music and comedy lovers will flock to the campsite outside Swellendam to go bananas along with some of South Africa’s top musicians and comedians. Roughly 2 000 festival goers will have access to three stages and more than 30 live music and comedy acts.
The Up the Creek 2012 line-up includes: Kongos, aKing, Akkedis, Black Cat Bones, Blues Broers, Cameron Bruce, City Bowl Mizers, Fox Comet, The Great Apes, Holiday Murray, Hot Water, Karen Zoid, Louwtjie Rothman, Machineri, No One’s Arc, Piet Botha, Taxi Violence, Wrestlerish, Jeremy Loops, Luna Paige, Shadowclub, Sterling EQ, Andra, Peachy Keen, AC/DC Tribute and Southern Gypsey Queen.

Expect delicious food, coffee maestros, more stalls and bars and full camping facilities including medical services and lifeguards to keep an eye on those who decide to take on the watersports on the Breederiver.
This year will also see the third annual Anything That Floats competition where participants are encouraged to think outside of the box and design their unique floating devices.
