Love will be in the air this holiday season as the Cape Town Folk and Acoustic Music Festival eases into the Mother City on 10 December at the CTICC. With 18 top South African artists, a top notch venue and the soothing sounds of acoustic music, this festival is sure to spread some much needed peace and harmony.
The musicians who will be playing at the festival include Ard Matthews, Steve Newman, Farryl Purkiss, Rory Eliot, Brian Finch, Guy Buttery, Christine Weir and Julie Blundell, Janie Bay, Gavin Minter, Louise Day, Tombstone Pete, Andrew James and Steady Tiger, John Ellis, Diesel Vanilla, Machineri, Gary Thomas, Natasha Meister and Jack Mantis.
The festival is sponsored by Real Wired Music, Eastern Acoustics, Sedgwick’s Old Brown Sherry and Marshall Music and promises visitors a true acoustic experience with performances broken down to solo or duo sets. The music will be stripped down essence of the songs – guitar and voice only.
