SkyRoomLive is a new destination for local streaming content which launches a series of live concerts designed specifically for internet and mobile broadcast. The multi-cam live broadcasts will be available to the world through SkyRoomLive’s website as well as through their Facebook Page.
Having kicked off with crossover electronic rock act, Die Heuwels Fantasties, on the 18th March, the first series will include performances by established artists like Jozi and The Parlotones as well as some new kids on the block like afro-folk songstress Nancy G and breaking new indie rockers Ice Project.
All performances will be broadcast live and for free via Facebook and on skyroomlive.com, while the archived on-demand recordings of all the shows will be made available at a cost of R40.00 Pay-Per-View. Initially Pay-Per-View content will be available only through the website, but will become available on completion of the first series through a Facebook app, which will support purchases completed using Facebook credits as well as the more traditional credit card transactions.
Although intended as an online only experience, with guests at the live recordings being by invite only, a limited number of tickets will also be made available to the public through Computicket. Tickets are charged at R300.
