SHOUT is a new campaign that is actively mobilising a peace revolution and giving South Africans a voice to stand up, to shout, and to say “enough” against crime in our beautiful country. The brainchild of South African musicians Danny K and Kabelo, they launched the initiative after the tragic death of South African legend, Lucky Dube, as the result of a senseless crime.
Danny K recruited the best of South Africa’s music talent to record a cover of the 1980s Tears for Fears hit Shout with the aim to donate all proceeds from downloads and sales of the single and brand collateral to charities that support victims of crime and initiatives which aid in the prevention of crime.
SHOUT has partnered with Crime Line, which has become integral in driving the SHOUT message home through the use of its various communication platforms and calls to action. SHOUT in turn will encourage South African citizens to take an active stance against crime by employing the services offered by Crime Line.
SHOUT is aiming to break all South African records by making the song the fastest-selling single in South African music history whilst giving South Africa a unified voice to alleviate and combat crime. By SHOUTING out together, we can actively create and build a safe South Africa. Add your voice to the fight against crime and SMS SHOUT to 33335 to donate R20.00 and get the SHOUT track featuring South Africa’s top artists.
