After their last tour in May 2011, Roxette is once again gearing up for another South African Tour. Presenting a one-and-only performance on the 3 June at the Coca Cola Dome in Joburg, 5 June at the ICC Durban Arena in Durban and 8 June at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town, it is a show not to be missed!
Roxette, the Swedish duo of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, are a mix of romantic ballads and smart pop with tongue-in-cheek lyrics. Starting up in the late 80s, their mission was to conquer the world with chart-bursting singles by merging their creative forces – Per had the songs, Marie had the killer voice.
Starting off their first World Tour with the uber-platinum Joyride album in 1991, Roxette was guaranteed to book their spot on the top charts around the world. With classic ballads such as “It Must Have Been Love” and “Listen to Your Heart”, they occupied the dance charts and became one of Sweden’s most loved acts.
