Red Bull, in association with Brain Farm Digital Cinema recently screened the action sports film, The Art of Flight featuring world-class snowboarder Travis Rice in South Africa. The Art of Flight is not just a film about snowboarding – it is an audio-visual melting pot of extreme sports taken to the max with out-of-this-world cinematography and a soundtrack to measure.

Rice and fellow pro-snowboarder friends including Nicolas Müller, Mark Landvik, Jake Blauvelt and Pat Moore take on new zones, land new tricks and redefine what can be done in the mountains. Two years in the making and directed by sought-after cinematographer, Curt Morgan, The Art of Flight has taken the action sports world by storm and the soundtrack has played a huge role in its success.

With tunes from heavy hitters like Deadmau5, The Naked and Famous, Apparat, Blockhead and M83, to name a few, the film’s soundtrack is as exciting, crisp and edgy as Rice’s big air tricks and Morgan’s exceptional filming skills.
The Art of Flight made its world premier in New York in September this year and has since swept across the globe with action sports fans and sportswriters soaking up the long awaited follow-up film by Morgan’s 2008 hit movie, That’s It, That’s All. Before the world premiere, Rice said he and the rest of the film crew, writers and snowboarders “pull out all the stops with cutting-edge cinematography, a banger soundtrack, and an edit second to none.”

We thoroughly enjoyed the premiere this past Friday night at Montecasino, Joburg, and we most definitely suggest you make a plan to check this one out! It’s incredible!
