Alternative rockers Radiohead announced on their website Monday that they’ll be releasing their 8th album, King of Limbs, in a variety of formats in the coming weeks. If you simply can’t wait for the physical album, be sure to pre-order the digital album from their official album site as this will be available for download this weekend, 19th of February. You may also want to pre-order the physical album (set to be released late March.) The one that really looks set to be worth the wait though, is the format scheduled for release in May – a definite collector’s item! What they’re calling the Newspaper album will consist of 2 clear 10″ vinyl records, a CD, newspaper artwork and much more.
Radiohead are known as some of the most definitive acts of the 90’s with their 3rd album OK Computer reaching international fame and critical acclaim. The Brit rockers have won 3 Grammys in their career and were also ranked no.73 in Rolling Stone magazine’s “Greatest Artists of All Time”.
This year also sees band member Jonny Greenwood doing the score for the film adaptation of the bestselling novel We Need To Talk About Kevin which is set to start Tilda Swinton and John C. Riley
For those feeling a little nostalgic for the 90’s and in honour of the new “King of Limbs”, here’s the famous High and Dry off their Bends (1995) album.
