The largest street festival of its kind in the country, the annual OBZ festival kicks off in December, setting the stage for a celebratory holiday season in Cape Town.
Obz Festival starts on Friday evening 9 December, until Sunday evening 11 December. This year’s music line-up includes aKING, Hot Water, Tidal Waves, Gazelle and other well-known Cape Town bands.
This year’s festival will also include street performers with acts from the South African National Circus School, visual arts, spoken word and music. Some of the exciting new additions include open days at art studios in the area, shop window galleries and an interactive graffiti mural.
