Marula Fest Limpopo Marula Fest 2012

Some of the highlights of the weekend include the Marula Golf Challenge, which will be held at the Hans Merensky Golf Estate. Play a few holes, meet new people and chill out at the clubhouse while the more energetic lot will be taking part in the Marula Festival Half Marathon. The route will take runners through a portion of the Kruger National Park, so the chances of spotting some game are pretty high. If you’re more of a contact sports person, then the Marula Festival Youth Rugby and Street Soccer events will appeal to you.

For the culture vultures there will be more than enough beats, arts and crafts to enjoy. The Marula Open Air Music Concert is a huge highlight of the festival. Expect something for everyone from traditional dances and a musical concert during the day to partying it up with some great local bands at night. Head over to the Cultural Products and Tourism Career Fair Expo which will focus on raising awareness on available marula products, the employment and empowerment possibilities of the marula industry and you’ll be able to do a lot of marula shopping from the various vendors and exhibitors.
