Artists and up-and-coming talents can look forward to the Kullid Festival in Riverlea from 23 to 25 September. Kullid, in association with SAME (South African Movement for Equality) have taken out all the stops to make this year’s festival its most memorable yet.

The festival will be held annually and will draw talents, artists, and festivity elements from South Africans across the nation – to add even more South African pride to the event, it will be held around the Heritage Day public holiday period.
The focus of the festival is a vibrant celebration of culture (as also linked and being a catalyst to nation building) and the national heritage of South Africa. The festival embraces all cultures in its relation to each other and seeks to foster a better understanding of the different cultures and its rich history. Its aim is to promote an appreciation for diversity while emphasising unity and development.
The programmes and activities of the festival will be held over three days from 23 to 25 September across different venues in Riverlea, Jo’burg.
Some of the acts to look forward to are: a five-a-side soccer tournament, hip-hop shows and beat dancing, live concerts, a Sunday Blues concert, DJ competition, film exhibitions by local producers, beer garden, music workshops and a variety of local markets. Many events on offer are free.
Tickets for paid events are available from Kullid’s Affiliate Partners.
