Comedy lovers get set for some side-splitting laughter because Eddie Izzard is coming to South Africa. The current international king of stand-up, British comedian Eddie Izzard will be delivering his unique brand of comedy during his current world tour, Force Majeure.
His style of comedy has been described as a rambling, whimsical monologue and self-referential pantomime. Izzard is heavily influenced by Spike Milligan and Monty Python, especially when he jumps between topics. He doesn’t generally work from a script, preferring ‘anything goes’ but the result is always the same – hilarious.
Eddie takes his comedy all over the world. His performance at New York’s famous Madison Square Garden in 2011 was sold out, and he spent three month’s performing in French while in Paris, and he holds the distinction of being the first stand-up comedian to host a solo show at the Hollywood Bowl.
The Force Majeure tour will take place in 25 countries across the world. Outside of stand-up he has made several appearances on television and film, undertakes a fair amount of charity work, is a social activist and has run many marathons. Don’t miss Eddie Izzard’s Force Majeure tour, it is going to be a lot of fun and you will be left in stitches. Tickets are available at Computicket.
