The 2011 Durbanville Beer Festival from 10 December in Cape Town’s northern suburbs promises to be bigger and better than before with more live bands, more yummy food and enough beer to put Germany to shame.
This year, The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is on board raising funds with a, Anything That Floats Race. Homemade, muscle powered crafts with the maximum of six crew will compete on a demarcated course to become the 2011 Durbanville Beer Festival Champs.
The Durbanville Beer Festival showcases beers from South Africa’s Craft breweries to the larger commercial brew masters bringing all beer lovers together to appreciate the fine craft of beer making.

Where else to hold such an event, but on one of Durbanville’s most prestigious wine estates, Hillcrest. Hillcrest is home to the popular hosting venue, the Quarry, which boasts beautiful rolling lawns and a crystal clear lake.

Live rock and blues bands will keep all entertained with rock ‘n roll DJs keeping the crowd rocking throughout the day while rivers of beer will keep your thirsts quenched. Full bar facilities will be available throughout the course of the event.

Gates open at 10am and will close down at 8pm as the Cape Town sun sets.
