
Unequivocally, one of the world’s most beautiful women has got to be the astonishing Petra Němcová! Born on the 24th of June, 1979, in the Czech Republic, Němcová is a model, television host, author and philanthropist (Happy Hearts Fund).
Featured on the cover of the 2004 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, where she launched her supermodel status, she subsequently appeared in the 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 editions, truly establishing herself as one of the world’s greatest models. She has also modelled for Victoria’s Secret, amongst a throng of other major names, and the gorgeous European speaks Czech, Slovak, Polish, English, French and Italian.
In December 2004, Němcová suffered a broken pelvis and serious internal injuries in the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami where her then-fiancé, photographer Simon Atlee, was killed. She managed to hold onto the top of a palm tree, reportedly for eight hours, until she was rescued by Thai civilians and airlifted to an inland hospital. Němcová has since moved on romantically, briefly dating British singer James Blunt in 2006.
